Approach /Focus /Investment Criteria

Alta Communications enjoys extremely high-quality deal flow enhanced by our long-standing relationships and stellar reputation with both management teams and industry intermediaries. When looking at potential opportunities for investment, our parameters are fairly flexible:

Investment Focus:	Media and telecommunications service companies with proven management teams and inherent assets and/or franchise values.
Investment Stage:	Later-stage opportunities with positive cash flow, but Alta will consider earlier-stage investments to fund businesses seeking growth capital.
Investment Size:	Typically $10 million to $30 million of equity, but Alta will invest larger or smaller amounts of capital. We have also led very large equity rounds in partnership with other institutional investors.
Investment Duration:	Average investment period is more than five years.
Ownership:	Alta will consider both minority investments and control deals. We are also comfortable investing alone or as part of a group.
Types of Investments:	Recapitalizations, leveraged buyouts, growth equity investments, and roll-ups.
